As part of the Gathering, the annual NAN Youth Art Contest is now open for submissions!
🧡 This year’s theme:
Zaagi’idiwin Miinawaa Bimaadiziwin
(Love and Life: Art for Wellness and Renewal)
This theme celebrates the deep connection between love, life, and holistic well-being within First Nations cultures.
- Zaagi’idiwin (Love) reflects unconditional care, kindness, and respect between individuals, communities, and the land.
- Bimaadiziwin (Life) represents living in balance, guided by culture, teachings, and ancestral wisdom.
We invite youth to create and submit artwork that visually expresses how love and life are woven together — highlighting the power of cultural identity, relationships, and land connection in fostering renewal, strength, and belonging.
